Grove In The Park

Grove in the Park It was set up in September 2016  with about 60 planters and an old canoe from the now-closed Grove 2 Fountainbridge Community Garden

Grove in the Park is for our community and aims to provide local people of all ages a chance to grow and harvest food and flowers, or just enjoy a green space. The North Merchiston Club’s playgroup has 2 planters, and we have others dedicated to herbs (please help yourselves), fruit trees, and demonstration rotation beds.  We garden communally and are keen to welcome new members to help make this garden flourish.

How to become a member
Come along on a Saturday when we have gardening sessions from 10am – 12 noon in summer and 11am – 12 noon in winter. If you cannot come on a Saturday email us.

Members get access to our toolbox, can join our Facebook group and get email notices of special events at Grove gardens. If you are already a member of ‘The Grove Fountainbridge Community garden’ you are automatically a member of ‘Grove in the Park’.

Everyone is welcome

Anyone is welcome to come at any time and help to keep the garden weeded and tidy. We write on the planters what needs doing so you do not need to be an expert gardener. Although gardeners with experience are, of course, very, very welcome.

Or just come along to sit and enjoy the space.

We are keen to have your suggestions on how to improve and develop the garden – so email us your ideas for making this a vibrant but peaceful place.
