What to grow in autumn

GROW – IN OCTOBER

Spinach

Can be sown this late in the year and continue to provide a great crop.

Lettuce

It is easy to have tasty lettuce over winter. Get some seeds soon.

Garlic

Very easy to grow and wait for it to do the magic under the surface.

Red Onions

You can get crisp, pink flesh. Ready by early spring.

Sow Sweet peas (in cold frame)cropped-carrots1.jpg

Sow broad beans (in ground)

Sow rocket, mizuna,mibuna

Sow green manure on bare ground (to be dug in in the spring)

Lots of easy things you can grow over the course of autumn and winter.
